Welcome! I’m Stephen Taylor, Captain of Elland Golf Club. I wish you all a warm welcome to our friendly Club.
I feel privileged to have been appointed as Captain for 2024 following my role as Rabbit Captain in 2022.
My Vice Captain is Paul McCormick, Lady Captain Elena Abbott, Rabbit Captain Allan Oldfield, and Past Captain David Goody and I am looking forward to working with them all during 2024.
We have a 3 Captains Charity. The charity this year is “The Kirkwood” a Hospice in Kirklees. Elena, Allan and myself will be pushing the club to raise money for this worthy cause.
Our course is 9 holes and many visitors have said it’s the best kept 9 hole course in the Huddersfield & Halifax Union.
Our male playing membership is currently full but we always welcome new applicants as the waiting list is usually fairly short.
Our Ladies membership is over 40 we welcome more new applications to join
We also have a Junior Membership of around 15 of them are playing members which has grown over the last few years from only a handful. There is room for more Juniors to apply for membership.
We have a variety of social events for members and guests as well as our various club dinners through the year.
